FAQ's

Q: What is your policy on refunds?
A: All sales and deposits are final.  The only time a refund will be granted is if a Wedding package was paid IN FULL upfront, a refund of 50% will be allowed - ONLY in the event of a cancellation of the wedding.  Must show proof of the cancellation in writing (i.e. receipt, invoice).  The request must be made within 30 days of the cancellation.

Q: If I book a Special Event package, are there any contracts to be signed?
A: Yes, all event bookings will come with a contract.  As soon as a deposit is made (or paid in full), you are agreeing to all terms and conditions of the contract.  A copy of the contract will be emailed to you as soon as all event details are received.

Q: What if I'm getting married out of state, but I want you to play for my cocktail & dinner hour?  How will you bring your sound equipment?
A: The best solution is to hire a professional sound company from the area of your event to provide a PA system for me to play on.  Flying out my gear would be too costly & too much of a hassle.  Email me so I can tell you what I'll need, it wouldn't be much.

Q: Would you be willing to use the DJ's mic and sound equipment?
A: No.  To guarantee my “sound”, my settings have been specially modified and have taken years to dial-in.

Q: How late can I book you to play for my special event?
A: Typically, I'm booked up in advance, so its best to book me as soon as you can.  I'd prefer to have at least a month for prep.  I “can” do within a month IF I happen to have an opening, but my rates will be higher due to the amount of preparation that goes on.

Q: I have a special song that I want to be played during my wedding ceremony.  Can you play it?
A: Sure, if I already know it.  If I have to learn a new song, I prefer to know at least 2 months in advance to give me time to find a backing track and learn it (please bear in mind that I'm learning music for 4 different groups).  In some rare instances, I might have to recreate the backing track in the studio by scratch!  That takes time.  If I don't know it & you ask me a month from the event, it'll be best to have the DJ play it.

Q: What if I have you play one song for a funeral?  Are the rates different?
A: Please email me, yes I will give you a discounted rate if its just for one song, but I will also need to discuss logistics.  I would need to find out if I am to be playing at the church/funeral home, and/or the cemetery.  Almost all cemeteries have no power outlets, and if I need to play something from my PA system, we would need to figure that out.

Q: What's the latest I can book you to sit in with my band?
A: If I already know the material - 1 week in advance, if I'm not already booked up.  If charts & rehearsals are needed, a month notice would be preferable, especially if there's a horn section & we need to sound tight.  Anything within a month (even the day-of) shoot me an email, you never know!  Check with my SHOWS page first to see if I'm not booked.

Q: What's the latest I can book you to record?
A: It can be as late as Same-Day, if recording can be done remotely, but contact me to discuss more details.  If there's a pre-prepared part that is very intricate & difficult, give me at least a week to rehearse it.

Q: What if I want to book you when you have an existing show?  Can you still play?
A: Yes, only if time permits.  Please factor in distance, traffic conditions, take-down, set-up, and loading.  It's best to consult with me beforehand.  Go to my CONTACTS section, send me an email and we'll go from there.
